Mario Kart Wii Video Preview
As you may or may not know, Mario Kart for Nintendo Wii is coming out next month (April 27, 2008 to be exact). Mario Kart 64 is one of my all time favorite games. The sheer fun I had playing multi-player with my friends made it a worthy investment but it also had a pretty good single-player mode for those times when I didn’t have friends around to challenge to a race or battle.
Mario Kart for the Wii looks like it will give me a chance to relive some of those memories from my N-64 era. What’s even better is that Mario Kart for the Wii is going to offer online play so I can play multi-player any time I want! I’m glad Nintendo is finally getting around to making some online games. That’s is probably Nintendo’s biggest weakness when compared to the XBox 360.
The new Mario Kart is going to add several other new features as well. For the first time in Mario Kart history, you can use Motor Cycles. The battle mode is also going to be based on a points system–not sure if I’ll like that or not. Rather than trying to explain all of the new features, I came across this great video preview via the WiiNintendo.net website. So check it out below.
I’m seriously contemplating on pre-ordering this game. I typically a tight spender and don’t like buying a lot of games and such, but I believe this one is going to be worth it. Plus, Lauren is actually excited about this game so I sense a in-house challenge. She’s not much of a gamer but actually remembers playing the classic Mario Kart. Not to mention, getting the game early gives me a chance to get in on the initial excitement and online play frenzy. I think I’ve just about convinced myself to go order the game. If you’re interested in pre-ordering as well, here’s an affiliate link of mine to Amazon: Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel

Looks really cool and fun. Unfortunately I don’t have a Wii or any console for that matter.
Yeah, it does. I’m really excited about this one. Too bad you don’t have a Wii or I’d challenge you to some races. The Wii is the first console I’ve had in years. I’m not a huge gamer anymore but I’m glad I was able to get a Wii.
