Painting Adventure
This past Saturday, Lauren and I finished painting our spare bedroom; it was something we’ve been wanting to do ever since we moved in. It took us a while to get to the room because the spare bedroom was where we piled all of the boxes when we moved in. While we were off of work a couple of days for Christmas, we managed to finish finding a place for everything stored in the room. With that feat accomplished, we were able to begin our painting project. As you can see from the before and after photos below, the room’s original color was on the ugly side. I think the people who owned the house before us was making it a baby’s room but I wouldn’t one any baby of mine to look at that
. Hopefully, I haven’t offended anyone who has or loves that pale green color.

The painting process wasn’t bad at all. We managed to put two coats on it and trim it out in a single day. We spent this last Saturday doing the final touch-ups. If anyone plans to paint on their own, I recommend using flat paint (we used Behr Premium Plus). Its so much easier to work with. Last time we made the mistake of using Satin paint…I can only imagine how difficult a glossy paint would be.
