As I mentioned a couple posts back, I had an extremely busy month of September. As I stated at the end of that post, I wanted to share a few pictures from some of my journeys. This first group of pictures is from September Seminar 2007. September Seminar is an annual event held by my department at work.

The goal of the event is continual education, team building, etc. The continual education provided is very valuable and important to our department since we have so many CPAs and other certified individuals who are required to obtain continuing professional education hours in order to maintain their certification(s).

I work in a fairly large (around 150) department of internal auditors composed of various groups such as financial, compliance, information systems (my department). Its rare for all of the various audit department groups to actually get together and interact with one another. I don’t want to sound like the groups don’t have good communication because the management teams are familiar with what other groups are doing and they strive to ensure the groups aren’t auditing the same things. Also, you’ll also talk to a few people as you run across them in the office.

Anyway, this year’s event was held at one my favorite local state parks, Fall Creek Falls. All of the pictures included in the slide show come from a hike a small group of us went on during our one free afternoon. I had a really good time on the hike and got to see some great sites…one of which I didn’t know about. Also, all of the pictures came from other people though from the same camera so I can’t take credit of any of the good (or bad) shots.

I hope you enjoyed the photos.
