It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted on this site. Well, one of the main reasons for that over the last few weeks is that Lauren and myself recently purchased our first home. As you all know, that involves a lot of work such as packing, cleaning, moving, etc.

We’re coming up on our first week staying in the new place and we’re both really excited about it. Luckily, we’re both have a shorter drive to work now so that means we have more free time that is not semi-wasted in a car. (I say semi-wasted because you can do some productive things while driving like praying and listening to podcasts and audio books).

The house is still in a mess with boxes everywhere and a few items still needing some touch-up paint. Overall, we’ve made quite a bit of progress. I hope to get Internet access next month. When that happens, maybe I will be able to provide some more updates to this blog. My RSS subscribers are getting a few more updates than normal site visitors because any bookmarks I post to del.icio.us are added to my feed. If anyone knows a good plug-in to post those bookmarks directly to wordpress so everyone can see them that would be great.

I should have some pictures of the house to post sometime. Right now, I would like to get a few more things unpacked before taking the pictures.

Congrats on the new house. I moved this past June myself, and it was an experience I hope to avoid repeating for quite some time.

Thanks for the comment Chris. Moving was quite an experience. Luckily (or unluckily depending on how you look at it), Lauren and myself hadn’t accumlated a ton of stuff since we’ve been married less than 6 months so the move wasn’t as bad as it is for some people.

I hope you enjoy the house you’re in now and don’t have to move any time soon.

By the way, I enjoy seeing everything you’ve dugg on digg (I’ve got you and some other godbit people as digg friends). It helps me find some useful and interesting stuff!

My wife and I had lots of stuff… too much stuff… it was a bear to move.
:) Digg, aside from some of the idiotic commenters, does have some pretty interesting posts on it.
