I mentioned in a recent post that I got to play outdoor laser tag at September Seminar. Before Seminar I didn’t know there was such a thing as outdoor laser tag. Well, something as adventurous and nerdy as outdoor laser tag is worthy of a second post right?

Well, maybe not because I don’t know what to talk about when it comes to outdoor laser tag. Nonetheless, I’ve got some pictures and needed a post to go along. Who knows, maybe I’ll find a way to touch entrepreneurship in here some how.\r\n\r\nLaser Tag is a fun activity for all ages, not just the 20 and under crowd. You can tell that from these pictures. I’ve been a fan of indoor laser tag for years, but didn’t play it too often because of the price. Where I live, you can easily spend $15 or more for 30 minutes or less of playing time…not cool. I think Outdoor laser tag is a little less expensive for longer playing times.

As cool as it sounds, outdoor laser tag isn’t quite as good as the indoor version because of having less places to run and hide. It would probably be better if you had some thick woods and camouflage to help hide. At the same time, the guns have longer ranges and you can get different types. The guns we had had laser scopes to help you aim. These were pretty cool. The sniper rifle had a real scope with cross hairs, but it was harder to use. For the ultimate adventure, I recommend paintball over both types of laser tag. The one draw back to paintball is the danger and the fact that you usually get bruised while playing it.

In conclusion, I wanted to tie outdoor laser tag into entrepreneurship somehow. The only way I could think of doing this is to mention how little outdoor laser tag is known. A little known and cool sport like this opens up lots of doors for entrepreneurs to open there own business to reach a new market. A word of caution though, you would need to couple outdoor laser tag with other group event options like miniature golf or bowling (you know, the stuff you see at family fun places) in order to enhance your chances of making a profit.

In case you wondering, the place provided the outdoor laser tag for Seminar was http://www.funandenergy.com/.

You should not blame the game if the location where you played was the problem.

You raise a good point about the location hampering my experience. I think it would have been a lot more fun in a more wooded area with some fake houses and building to play in and around. I do think people should be consider location before booking an outdoor laser tag event. Regardless, it was a fun experience.
