I'm glad you enjoyed the post. I didn't even scratch the surface of all the available CMSs. Of course I agree with you that Wordpress is probably the best blogging platform or else I wouldn't be using it. Text Pattern may very will be a close second. I think it is better for more website / blog type of sites. After talking with &lt;a href="http://robertrevans.com/" rel="nofollow"&gt;Robert Evans&lt;/a&gt; recently and &lt;a href="http://sonspring.com/" rel="nofollow"&gt;Nathan Smith&lt;/a&gt; a while back, I think I'm am going to give Text Pattern a whirl.

Thanks for the link. You've done a very good job of summarizing here. Some of the CMS' like Mambo and Expression Engine Core I hadn't even heard of before you mentioned them. I didn't realise how vast the CMS world was!
I think without a doubt though, for blogging, wordpress must be the best platform, simply because of the vast array of functions and its adaptability. Thanks for showing me it in the first place.
Keep up the good writing on the series, Im really enjoying it!
