awesome job! how long did it take?!
Thanks Dennis. I posted the tutorial on May 4. I noticed the #1 position today (June 10). So a little over a month. I was shocked to say the least.
Google will give you SERP luvin’, especially when it’s abou them.
I did a Google Maps API tutorial and have had a lot of hits for it, a lot from google searches where I ranked top 10 out of sever million.
I think they test the fresh stuff out for a bit. Maybe they’re working harder on relevance.

I’ve gotten a bunch of hits on my Google Maps Tutorial. At one time I was #1 for “Google Maps Directions Tutorial”. It was only out of 300,000 so not quite as impressive as being top 10 out of several million. Nice work.
